Investment syndicates
Previously available only to sophisticated investors and high net worth individuals, these investment syndicates are now open to a wider range of investors subject to a minimum investment of £20,000. They provide a relatively low risk way for all investors to earn exceptionally high returns.
The terms of each investment vehicle vary – some are SIPP compliant (making them highly tax efficient), some are backed by an insurance bond guaranteeing you a minimum return of 10%, and others are secured against plots of land or property (either by a first or second charge). All of the investment opportunities we have chosen are, in our opinion, relatively low risk and likely to produce much greater returns (a minimum of 20% per year), than traditional investments.
Although the underlying investment and security provided for the syndicates is property or land, as far as private investors are concerned these are not really property investments; you do not need to worry about selling on or finding tenants and the period of investment is fixed (1-2 years, depending on the particular investment syndicate) with a defined exit strategy, and all pay a fixed return of at least 20%. The developers pay the investors as a first call on profits, and most of the risk is borne by them.
