Financial spread betting systems
With the advent of the internet and home PCs, software and financial information previously only accessible to City professionals, has become available to everyone at a very low cost. There has been an explosion of people taking advantage of this to either trade shares, futures or the FOREX market themselves. For UK residents it's even better as you can use financial spread betting companies and make TAX FREE profits from the movement of share or currency prices, without actually buying the instrument in question.
Leveraging yourself in such a manner enables you to make extraordinary profits without the need to invest large sums of capital. Of course, you can also lose large amounts if you get it wrong, but your risk can be minimised by the use of stop losses. Most of the major financial spread betting companies allow you to paper trade or trade for pennies whilst you learn the ropes. It's really quite simple once you are used to it. What you need to succeed is a good system and a disciplined approach - irrational emotions are the downfall of many traders.
If you are new to spread betting and would like to learn about it for yourself, we recommend purchasing the CD ROM Spread Betting for Beginners.
The Investor Portal team are keen on financial spread betting and over the past few years we have tried and tested many different systems, spending well over £10,000 in the process.
There are no shortage of "experts" out there promising great returns trading the Forex or financial markets using their system, but most of these offerings are completely over-hyped. Some are simply rip-offs.
There is no holy grail that guarantees success. However, we occasionally discover a real gem that does deliver exactly what it says on the tin. Of course, even a good system is not right for everyone. People have different criteria as to how much active participation they want, how experienced they are, when they can trade, how much they can risk etc.
We independently test share trading systems and then review the ones we feel have genuine merit to help our subscribers make a good return. For the record, we do make a small referral fee from some of the share trading systems we recommend, but this does not influence our review. And if we don't find a share trading system has any merit, we simply won't publish a review of it at all.
We have been testing the LS Trader spread betting system since the start of the year, investing our own money, and the results so far have been excellent. You can follow our progress week by week in the Investor Portal's blog, "Diary of a Financial Spread Better".
